During her time at Broughton, Vanessa was an outstanding student committed to academic excellence, leadership and serving the College community. Vanessa played a significant role in the cocurricular program, and was a College Vice-Captain in 2016-2017.

In the HSC, Vanessa gained a Band 6 in Advanced English, Mathematics, Biology and PDHPE and a Band E4 in Extension 1 English and Extension 1 Mathematics. As a result of gaining the top band in ten units of study, Vanessa was placed on the NSW High Achievers List and she achieved an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank of 98.75. Her results are a credit to her and reflect her commitment and focus to her studies.

Vanessa has accepted a place in Bachelor of Medical Science and Advanced Studies at the University of Sydney.
